Camau phase 1 project is part of the Ca Mau Gas-Power Fertilizer Complex in the southern-most province of Ca Mau, and is designed to be operated by either gas or fuel oil with a capacity of 750 MW in the first phase, expanding up to 1400 MW when phase II is completed.
The plant consists of two gas turbines, two heat recovery steam generators, and one steam turbine. The two gas turbines are expected to generate power by early 2007; the complete power plant is scheduled for commercial operation in December 2007.
Haskoning Vietnam performs design work for Lot 4, comprising architectural, structural and M&E design, for the general site (roads, drains, lighting etc), and for most of the non-technical buildings, including the Admin Building, Switchyard Control Building, Central Control Building, Workshop, Warehouse, Canteen, etc. Also included in the Haskoning Vietnam scope of work is the design of foundations for various parts of the plant.
