At the mouth of the Cai Mep river, between Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau, the joint venture of Vietnamese Gemadept and French CMA CGM intend to develop a new state of the art container terminal. This 60 ha plot will include 600 quay wall which can receive the largest container vessels up to 200,000 dwt.
Royal Haskoning – with it’s very extensive experience with major container terminals in all parts of the world - has been called in to assist with optimising the basic design and assisting with the tendering process.
This assistance is being given by both Royal Haskoning’s specialists in our European main offices as well as by the local office in Ho Chi Minh City providing both local knowledge and experience as well as a thorough understanding of Vietnamese design requirements.
